McPherson Community Building

McPherson, KS | McPherson County

You're invited to step inside this renovated 1928 community building (NRHP). Half of it is used as a community venue but the other half still has the court where the McPherson Globe Refiners played in the 1930s. They went on to become the first-ever basketball Olympic gold medal champions. Storyboards in the balcony section in the gym tell more of the story. Bronze statues outside honor the team.
