LODGING

Atlas Ad Astra Missile Silo Adventure Resort

Wilson, KS | Ellsworth County

What an adventure it would be to spend the night 176 feet underground in a historic missile base! Built in 1959, this Atlas F Missile Base was active during the 1965 Cuban Missile Crisis and once housed an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. Today, the renovated launch control center—once the living quarters for the staff who operated the base—is your overnight home. Not ready to sleep underground? Take a one-hour guided tour of the entire base instead. Owner Matthew Fulkerson dreams of someday converting the missile storage chamber into an educational center for space habitat studies. Until then, Matthew and his missile-silo dog, Dozer, invite you to experience this one-of-a-kind underground adventure!

Tent, van or RV camping is available on the 24-acre property, as well.
