Adobe House

When the park was developed (completed in 1966) this adobe home, built by the John Spencer family around 1894, was scheduled for demolition. Local citizens protested its demise, renovated it, and donated period furniture for its interior. It is the last surviving adobe house in Kansas in its original location.
