Where losers are not forgotten! On the mezzanine of the First State Bank, the gallery of "also-rans" exhibits portraits of unsuccessful presidential candidates dating to Thomas Jefferson. In case you didn't know, Jefferson lost to John Adams in the race of 1796! You'll find Kansas' own Bob Dole pictured on the wall between George H.W. Bush and Al Gore. (8 Wonders of Kansas - Customs)
