A 1910 Santa Fe locomotive has made its last stop and now rests on the east side of Wilson Park. A sign next to Engine No. 2542 includes part of a speech by John Landreth, general manager of the Santa Fe railway, on dedication day in 1955. The sign also shares the interesting story of moving the engine six blocks from the tracks to the park.
