The entrance at the south end of the park will take you by the showcase building, the A.C. Stich Shelter. Built of stone in 1917, it incorporates an open porch on either side and a fireplace. It's been beautifully maintained over the years. The amphitheater around the band shell was built by the WPA in 1935.
