TOWNSITE

Bigelow

Marshall County, Kansas

On the south side of the road is the site of the former town of Bigelow, founded in 1881. Once famous for its limestone quarry industry, the town met its demise in the 1960s when it was razed for construction of Tuttle Creek Lake. Only a large marker in a small park remains to tell the Bigelow story. Register your visit in a notebook at the mailbox.
