FLOOD CONTROL

Ottawa Flood Gates

Ottawa, KS | Franklin County

When the Marais des Cygnes River rose to 32 feet in May 2015, massive flood gates were rolled into place and successfully averted disaster. Because of the town's flooding history, the flood control project was completed in 1962.
