The church committee chose the lot at 301 F to build the Niotaze Methodist Episcopal Church so the congregation could view the valley below. The pretty little church (complete with bell tower and steeple) was constructed in 1895 with rusticated sandstone quarried from the hill overlooking Niotaze. The church (now United Methodist) still operates, and the view is still lovely. (NRHP)
