Lustron homes, an efficient post-WWII invention, were made from prefabricated steel, inside and out! Garden City comprises eight such homes. See them at 407 E. Laurel St.; 405 N. 4th St.; 1016 N. 4th St.; 310 Hudson St.; 312 Hudson St.; 211 N. 11th St.; 901 N. 11th St. (with a detached Lustron garage); and 1203 N. 9th St.
