Larson and Rockne Memorials

A memorial honors Al Larson who gave his life saving fellow travelers in a flash flood near here on August 30, 2003. A monument to Knute Rockne, legendary Notre Dame football coach who died in a 1931 plane crash near this point, stands outside the service area. Inside, large photographic panels depict various aspects of Rockne's life. For tours to the crash site, call.
