From Fort Leavenworth, follow K-5 south along the Missouri River. Fort Leavenworth is the starting point and northern end of this hilly, winding, and tree-lined byway. Among other highlights, you'll pass the national cemetery and the Lansing Correctional Facility. The byway continues from K-5 to I-435 around the Kansas City metro area to U.S. 69 and south to the Oklahoma border.
