ART MUSEUM

Coutts Museum of Art

El Dorado, KS | Butler County

The classic columns and handmade doors from Mexico are your entry to a quality showcase of art on three floors.  This former bank makes for formal surroundings for the rotating works of well-known artists such as Renoir, Thomas Hart Benton, and Frederic Remington. You will also find some paintings from the large Makk collection on display and Jesse Montes's colorful corrugated cardboard art. The works in this museum were purchased from all over the world primarily by local attorney Warren Hall Coutts Jr. The museum was named in memory of his son who was killed in 1965. Donation suggested.
