One trailhead is at Central and River, just east of the Walnut River. No doubt you'll climb on one of the giant (and inviting) low sycamore limbs before you even see the iron truss fishing bridge over the river. Walk across the bridge and, if you like, continue on a sidewalk trail through the woods. This hiking and biking trail runs 5 miles to El Dorado Lake.
