HISTORIC WATER FOUNTAIN

Carry Nation Fountain

Wichita, KS | Sedgwick County

In Naftzger Park take a sip from the 1918 fountain named for fiery temperance leader Carry Nation. A block west at 517 E. Douglas, the Eaton Place building was known as the Carey Hotel when Carry Nation threw rocks through its saloon mirror in 1900. Note the bas relief hatchet on the one side.
