Mount Hope Cemetery Carillon

Topeka, KS | Shawnee County

Mount Hope Cemetery is home to the first singing tower in a U.S. cemetery. The carillon in this stone castle-like tower was first played in 1931. It is named for George Herman, the cemetery manager, who had the idea of the carillon.
