CEMETERY

Salter Gravestone

Argonia, KS | Sumner County

From the cemetery's center entrance, follow the left fork to the north end. At the curve are the graves of Susanna Madora Salter and her husband, Lewis. Susanna died in 1961 at the ripe old age of 101. North of the Salter graves a flat stone marks the resting place of a son who died at age 11 days in 1888, during Susanna's term as mayor.
