From Woodston, 18 miles south on Spruce (becomes 28) to K-18, just east of Plainville. This unpaved road crosses the South Fork of the Solomon Valley River and then takes you past chalky bluffs that dot this Blue Hills region as it follows the Medicine Creek Valley to more level ground.
