The gardens simple beginning dates to 1871, and through several transitions, they are today a beautiful horticulture educational resource and laboratory. The 1933 limestone dairy barn provides a historic focus to this botanical landscape and the 1907 Victorian style conservatory. A fountain, gazebo, and sculptures are charming backdrops for an explosion of colors, especially in the Daylily, the Iris, and the Rose Collections. The Insect Zoo (inside the barn), containing live insects, helps us learn to appreciate bugs!
