Salina is the Terra Cotta Capital of Kansas, a city rich in the art deco architectural style. Look for examples along Santa Fe (and blocks on either side) between Mulberry and Ash. The 1929 United Life Insurance Building (Salina's 'skyscraper') at 7th and Iron is one not to miss.
