Across from the Steele homestead. Looking up and across from the Steele house you'll see a monument on top of the ridge. The granite rock with a bronze plaque was placed here in memory of Herbert Steele who homesteaded this area in 1888. The steep path up to the marker offers gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding area.
