Big Eleven Lake & Charlie Parker Memorial

In the 1930s the WPA added the beautiful rock work to the lake and park, founded in 1911. At the rock stage over the lake, a plaque on an abstract metal saxophone sculpture honors Charlie 'Yardbird' Parker, legendary jazz musician born in Kansas City.
