IT'S THE VIEW!

Shamrock Cafe

Wabaunsee County, Kansas

When you see the three-leaf clover 'Shamrock Cafe' sign you'll have found this open-air 'cafe.' The sign says 'Always Open,' but if someone gets there before you, you may have to wait. It seats four. Naming it the Shamrock Cafe in good fun, the Crenshaws, owners of the nearby Shamrock Farm, have provided seating by securing four vintage metal chairs into cement on top of large slabs of flint. Although you have to bring your own food and drink and bus your own table (such as it is), the Flint Hills view is priceless. Be sure to leave a note and a token in the geocache box chained to the leg of the table.
