Santa Fe Trail Ralph's Ruts

From 8th in Chase, 4 miles west on U.S. 56, then ¾ mile north on 4. The gate reads 'Ralph's Ruts,' recognizing that Ralph Hathaway owned the land containing the Santa Fe Trail wagon ruts. It's always difficult to know if you're actually seeing the grassy trail ruts, but aerial photos at the Coronado Quivira Museum in Lyons will help you know what to look for.
