Exhibits interpret the American Indians—and fur traders—use of the trail and how the coming of the railroad altered its history. The 10 buildings of the museum complex include furnished reproduction sod house and dugout homes, a one-room schoolhouse, a Santa Fe railroad depot, and a 1906 church built by its black congregation. A research library and archives are also available (call ahead).Admission charge.
