The first River Road route we recommended was from Coolidge (Section 1) to Syracuse. Now, from Santa Fe (U.S. 50), go 1 ΒΌ miles south on K-27, then 13 miles east on River to Kendall. The geographical combination of Arkansas River Lowlands landscape and High Plains vegetation such as yucca, sagebrush, and cottonwood trees makes this sandy route along the river an interesting one. Irrigated crops border the road in places. (Section 3)
