
When the Arkansas River bed is dry, it's a great route for hiking and off-roading. When the river is running, it's a great route for canoeing. Wet or dry, you can't lose! For many years the Stock Tank Parade was held on the river, and during wet years you still might see some folks in stock tanks floating downstream as you drive by on U.S. 50.
