VETERANS MEMORIAL

Pittsburg State University Veterans Memorial Amphitheater

Pittsburg, KS | Crawford County

You'll feel a tug at your emotions as you walk the entryways lined with flags of the 50 states and the official seals of the five military branches. Dedicated in 2004, this memorial amphitheater features a half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The replica was part of the Moving Wall program that brought The Wall to those who couldn't travel to the nation's capital. Among other features, the amphitheater contains an eternal flame and a reflecting pool.
