The feature exhibit focuses on Harold Krier, an Ashland native and an internationally known precision aerobatic pilot who wowed crowds with his daring feats during the 1950s and 1960s. A colorful museum display includes one of his stunt planes, many photographs, memorabilia, and show bills. Krier died in a parachute accident in 1971 and is buried in Highland Cemetery. Other exhibits feature local pioneers and area notables such as opera singer Rodney Hardesty, world-record miler Wes Santee, and Notre Dame football coach and athletic director Jesse Clair Harper.
