Norwegian Cemetery (Zion Lutheran Cemetery)

Everest, KS | Brown County

From S. 5th, ½ mile west on Main, then 3 ½ miles north on Prairie. Zion Lutheran Church and Cemetery were established in 1895 by Norwegian immigrants. Stroll through the cemetery and on almost every gravestone you'll find evidence of Norwegian ancestry in such names as Torkelson, Thorson, Knudson, and Gigstad.
