HISTORIC JAIL

McLouth Historic Jail

McLouth, KS | Jefferson County

City Park hosts numerous memorials plus a concrete jail thought to have been built in the 1880s. Although seldom used in the old days, it was utilized in the 1920s to teach a lesson to some young boys for throwing hedge apples at the Methodist church.
