Larned is teeming with these enamel-coated, all-steel prefabricated homes that popped up after WWII in response to the housing shortage. The Ooten House (NRHP) is at 507 W. 15th, and the Patterson House (NRHP) stands at 841 W. 8th. Additional Lustrons are at 1124 Toles, 1421 State, 823 Starks, 721 Martin, 612 Mann, and 505 W. 5th.
