Lane County Museum

Dighton, KS | Lane County

Exhibits present the county's heritage, including the story of the "Lane County Bachelor," a ballad written by Ness County resident Frank Baker in 1886. You'll also find out about jack rabbit drives, droughts, and prairie fires, and what Lane County produces for the world, oil, cattle, and grain. A sod house stands on the museum grounds.
