SANTA FE TRAIL

Kendall Santa Fe Trail Marker

Kendall, KS | Hamilton County

The DAR placed a marker near the location of the Aubry cutoff. The point was named for French Canadian Francis X. Aubry, who was always on the lookout for a shorter route on the Santa Fe Trail, an effort that earned him the nickname "Skimmer of the Plains."
