Isham Hardware

Isham Hardware, the oldest hardware store in Kansas, opened in 1870. When the Dalton Gang came to town in 1892 to rob two banks, citizens fired shots from inside the hardware store during the ensuing shootout. A mural of Coffeyville, covering Isham's north exterior wall, depicts points of activity during the Dalton Gang raid.
