Trash and junk once filled the creek, but the area has been transformed into a beautiful and tranquil site. A boardwalk zigzags through flower beds then parallels the creek for a short distance to a small waterfall (if water is running). A gazebo and statue of Emmett Kelly accent a slope layered with vibrant flowers and shrubs. The 1874 St. Charles wooden one-room schoolhouse was moved to this location to add to the charm.
