SANTA FE TRAIL

Havana Stage Station

Burlingame, KS | Osage County

A large sign on the south side of the road tells the story of the stone stage station built here around 1858 and abandoned by 1869. At one time a hotel and store were part of the small town of Havana that provided a stop for travelers on the Santa Fe Trail. The crumbling stone walls of the stage station are all that remain.
