The Modern-style Greeley County Courthouse was completed in 1975.
In front of the courthouse stands an 11-foot metal sculpture made entirely from 544 wagon wheel hub bands metal rings. This 1941 stellar monument is in commemoration of the early Greeley County pioneers. Local welder Clyde Smith created the sculpture by welding the bands together into its pyramid shape. Placed inside the pyramid are a sod-breaking plow, picket pins, and a hitching post.
