This elegant opera house, built in 1887 with local brick and limestone, was renovated in 2012. The embellished iron facade, fabricated by the Mesker Brothers, is one of the earliest and most impressive in Kansas, and is one of two opera houses remaining in the state whose exterior incorporates the distinctive fleur de lis pattern and opulent detail.
