Gove to Monument Rocks Scenic Back Road

High Plains vegetation, shortgrass prairie, and small chalk formations are a pleasing prelude to your arrival at Monument Rocks. Starting at Gove, go 11½ miles west on 4th (becomes S). Here you'll pass remnants of the early town of Orion. From S, continue 7 miles south on 22, 4 miles west on L, 4 miles south on 14, 1 mile east on unnamed road, then ½ mile south on Road 16 to Monument Rocks.
