COURTHOUSE

Early Courthouse

Harper, KS | Harper County

Originally built in the 1870s as the county courthouse, its use as such was discontinued when the town of Anthony became the county seat by defeating Harper in the county seat wars. The former courthouse then was used as the Harper Normal School and Business College, later as a church, and now is vacant —but nonetheless, dignified.
