Sculpted by Charlie and Carson Norton, this beautifully detailed, larger-than-life bronze portrays a WWII soldier posed in tribute before a traditional battlefield cross. "Duty Called" is a main feature at the new and impressive Wamego Area Veterans Memorial. Granite bricks honor more than 700 veterans, and the names of the area's 91 fallen soldiers are inscribed on the black granite wall.
