Named for its mineral spring, the town became a focal point for visitors from across the country to bathe in and drink from the spring waters. The original 1909 springhouse (refurbished in 1999) stands on its original site beside the spring, surrounded today by the nicely landscaped City Park. From the springhouse, walk down eight steps to better see the water flowing from the spring. (RHKP)
