HISTORY

Circleville Cemetery Hitching Rails

Circleville, KS | Jackson County

The historic hitching rails standing on either side of the cemetery entrance are recognized as the longest ones remaining in the state. Before the automobile, hitching rails were the equivalent of a parking spot, but for horses!
