Southwest of St. John Nepomucene Church. Father Kapaun (8 Wonders of Kansas People) served as a chaplain in the Korean War, and this inspirational bronze statue depicts him aiding a wounded soldier. Kapaun was captured by the communists in 1950, and while in captivity his unselfish courage and his ministry endeared him to his fellow prisoners of war.
