Caldwell Heritage Park

Caldwell, KS | Sumner County

Old-fashioned street lamps and gazebo set the tone in this lovely park that captures pieces of Caldwell's history. Among them is a large sign summarizing Caldwell's history as the Border Queen. You'll also see a Brenda Almond mural depicting the progression of life on the Plains, a bronze etching by Harold Holden illustrating a Chisholm Trail roundup, and a limestone Chisholm Trail marker. In a kiosk across the street, pick up a brochure for a walking tour that takes you to 19 historical markers in the downtown district.
