SANTA FE TRAIL

Black Jack Park

Baldwin City, KS | Douglas County

This roadside park features a DAR Santa Fe Trail marker, a second historical marker telling the story of the nearby Battle of Black Jack, and a replica log cabin. Cross the footbridge to the Ivan Boyd Memorial Prairie Preserve, a serene landscape of native flowers, plants, and grasses—and history including evidence of Santa Fe Trail wagon ruts. (NRHP)
