In 2009 local artist Gary Lofts and his wife, Susan, spearheaded a campaign to paint a large mural on the side of a 1907 downtown building honoring the town's centennial. It's a beauty and depicts the town's history including scenes of a miner, railroad and depot, a church, a Model T, and the former school bulldog mascot.
