Artists Dave Loewenstein and Stan Herd mentored a large group of Topekans in creating this mural that honors leading black artist Aaron Douglas. A Topeka native, Douglas graduated from Topeka High School and is considered the leader of Harlem Renaissance art of the early 1930s.
