If you've never seen the troll you may jump out of your shoes the first time you do. In 2007 local artist Connie Ernatt was commissioned to create the five-foot, 200-pound troll to add intrigue and fun to the walk along the river. To find the creature day or night in his hidey-hole (a green light illuminates him at night), follow the river path from the Keeper of the Plains, 650 N. Seneca, east across the river, then south toward the Vietnamese Monument. About halfway along, the sidewalk splits; take the east sidewalk and look underground through the grate.
